Fun with Photoshop

Getting ready to make a poster. I did this poster as a warmup.

Camaro

Did you ever wonder how do car manufacturers come up with the names of there cars?
What Exactly Does The Word “Camaro” Even Mean?
June 28, 1966 saw the Camaro introduced to the automotive press. The name, uncommon in the English language, was explained by Chevrolet president, Pete Estes, as “a name which is lithe and graceful…in keeping with our other car names beginning with ‘C.’ It suggests comradeship of good friends, as a personal car should be to its owner.”
Reporters who asked other GM executives about the name were told it was, “a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs.”

Design a Simple Textured Typographic Poster in Photoshop

This was a fun tutorial. I did run into a few snags. The font sizes that the author suggests do not fit in the 8 x 10 area. So after getting all of the elements on the board I moved them around to fit. I like the two sources that were used to download the font styles.
I have used dafont
But this new source Fontsquirrel is new to me. I like it.

I might tweak this poster just a little.

I still have a problem finding all of the font styles. Maybe I should make a poster of my favorite font styles....

Create a double exposure.

Mix photos and textures using layer masks and blend modes to create a nature - themed, double - exposure portrait.

I bought a magazine. "Photoshop Creative" it seems a little pricey at first but with all of the tips and resources that become available it really is a great value. the image below was created by downloading the images ( provided when you simply buy the magazine ) and following along with the steps in the book. I do plan on trying to create a portrait with my own images.
